The Soul And It's Body Poem by ROGEL FRANCIS SORIOSO

The Soul And It's Body

An eye consists of different many parts
It takes a retina, pupil and more to see
It's one of the senses used by humans like you and me
Vivid colors are hard to define and describe
The beauty and essence is even harder to transcribe
A human or animal was gifted with vision and sight
Take it away and what do you get
A world without the stars, moon and a sunset
A world that never read and write
A world that has no day and night
But could a human exist without all the other senses
Vision is something we need but could live without
Like the sense of taste with the food that enters our mouth
The sense of sight is only one of the senses in our anatomy
Could you exist without your touch, vision, smell, hearing and taste
Is that person still worthy or already such a waste
A human body with so many parts and accessory
Of all its character and beauty would only rot in a cemetery
Is a person missing an arm and leg still considered whole
Is that person becomes less of a man, woman and soul
Our true identity could not be defined by the form we take
For even an animal could display an act no other humans could make
We become humans by knowledge, virtue and character
The rest out there are just trees, life forms and matter
An animal out in the wild could protect its young's like a human mother can
Humans and animals behaves instinctively
Such manners and attitudes are displayed distinctively
The soul having no definite form, shape and structure
Created the human body like any types of sculpture
The artist made sure that it had what it needs as an art
The nose, ears, eyes and everything else must be in place
As the artist formed the entire body and face
The soul you seek is in the creation we made
The soul speaks, sees and hears
Through your mouth, eyes and ears
The soul does not take the form of the dead
But rather as a shapeless form of life in your head
