The Snail Teaches Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

The Snail Teaches

Slow, snail! Ah! its humility
It advanced and now be teaching;
I jealous of its progress
Said how can be
How can be, this snail
Is slow, let me compete
A run with it
Though in my age.
Ah! the snail teaches!
How many come from behind
And I found them in front
And would not reach them!
I am in this state, albeit,
Perhaps a few
Tread this hot charcoal.
Make me a martyr - at this
Stage - what more remains?

Toga
Of
Teaching
The
Snail
Is
Teaching
I
Will
Spy
Go
Its
Lessons
Have
Had
Already
So
Many
Lessons!
Long
List
Of
Feelings
I
Went
Outside
To
Breathe
The
Sun's
Arising
And
My
Obfuscation
Enrages
Me
Silent
I
Speak
And
Speak
And
Speak
Reach
Not
Conclusions
My
Soliloquies
have
failed
stop -
this
day
at
ten
I
Will
Have
A
Soliloquy
In
My
Bathroom
There
It
Will
Be
Cool
There
I
Will
Reason
More
The
Soliloquy
Of
The
Bathroom
Strategic
Board
Meeting.
Control
Start
Rewind
Fast
Forward
Whirligig
Of
Experiments.

Slow, snail! Ah! its humility
It advanced and now be teaching;
I jealous of its progress
Said how can be
How can be, this snail
Is slow, let me compete
A run with it
Though in my age.
Ah! the snail teaches!
How many come from behind
And I found them in front
And would not reach them!
I am in this state, albeit,
Perhaps a few
Tread this hot charcoal.
Make me a martyr - at this
Stage - what more remains?
