The Silence Says It All Poem by Guy Wild

The Silence Says It All

He always knew what to say
Besides when he was with her
The words came out nervous and shaky
hardly able to be heard

So instead he put the cigarette to his mouth
and took a breath
knowing that this moment wouldn't be forgotten
that he wasn't afraid of death
