The Shy Man Poem by Jacqueline Czel

The Shy Man

Rating: 5.0

The shy man
said nothing
for 20 years
so she never knew
and shuttered
her seemingly
discounted desires
behind tightly
sealed doors
and did not
go on to live
the life she
yearned for
with him
but down
a different
path filled with
broken branches
fallen logs and
heavy stones
incapable of
being lifted.
