The Seasons Poem by elvashira silvertongue

The Seasons

Running through a forest spring green
Hearing, feeling things unseen
The soft whispers of wind
The Sun's kisses to me send
Howling of a proud race
That i share space within this place

Seasons ever change
Like me ever rearrange

Running through a forest multicolored fall
Knowing the trail the deer travel heeding winter's call
Leaves are shed the trees prepare to sleep
Like the beat of a drum life speeds up then drops into a slow steady beat

Seasons ever change
Like me ever rearrange

Running through a forest winter white
This time and space is taken over by the spectacular sight of night
Trees bare skies fair
To a lake frozen on the edges i draw near
World of ice world of cold
Brilliantly you shine oh so bold
I see the ice melt and suddenly spring is here

Running through a forest alive as am i
Seasons ever change
Like me ever rearrange
