The Riots Poem by Deepta Protik Osman

The Riots

We jumped
As we went to the road,
Every one there
Was sleeping at their homes.
While the riots are going one way
We are another,
Just then a dog behind us
Was barking very lound,
Which made us ran away
In quick top speed.
There lies gold
Gold to hold,
We took them all
And ran away,
In the road I say
We all ran away.
The riots of ten
Were burning steel,
They walked and walked
And see them all we did,
On the way to the roads
We sure did see them.
