The Replacements Poem by James Casey

The Replacements

Rating: 5.0

The new men are coming today
For a while' they'll be in the way

Here they come, all happy, not sad
As a matter of fact, I'm really glad

We've work to do, no smiles here
Never never, show your fear

Never show them how you feel
You must be hard, no big deal

Keep your distance, at arms length
Don't get close, you'll loose your strength

Don't let them close, it leads to sorrow
Then sorrow goes on and on until tomorrow

You must be hard
Keep up your guard

Don't let them close
They'll hurt you most
