The Receptionist Poem by Manager Poet

The Receptionist

At the office, I needed to fill a position.
Finding the right fit is every manager's mission.
Someone from church wanted to apply.
My wife told me to give her a try.
Awkward as a duckling, she tried to learn.
She didn't have confidence was my concern.
As the years began to pass,
something was different about this lass.
She transformed into an office swan.
Her search for growth began to spawn.
Nothing became difficult for her to do.
All it took were the words, 'I believe in you.'
Often sought for her opinions by management,
I write her this poem with great sentiment.
After I left, she was promoted to number two.
In that department she truly was the glue.
Her wisdom and skills had made her a queen.
Giving sage advice, she always stold the scene.
One more line and I'll be through.
Never forget, that I am proud of you!
