The Rainbow Of Bliss And Grace Poem by Amrit Rathi

The Rainbow Of Bliss And Grace

Be gentle and appreciate
everyone, everything,
and the blame,
the sense of burden,
you carry around
would just disappear—
like a pebble,
going down and resting
at the bottom of a lake.

Simply lighten up like that
to your practice,
and to the fleeting
experience of life! .

Habit energies might
rear their heads as usual,
but don't rush around the room
like a windup toy.

But let go of
the pattern behavior,
and relax,
to get the glimpse of a spark of joy,
even in the face of
insecurity, frustration, and restlessness
you feel.

Should something pleasant come up,
just pause and notice,
and savor it intensely,
letting go of its trailing tinge.

Should something unpleasant come up,
look deeply into it with serenity,
staying with it with no resistance,
not losing your balance.

Let go of your beliefs beyond
thinking what's right or wrong—
that is the real way to break up
your solid-looking puzzling thoughts.

Go back to simplicity, and humility
and be always fully present
to what's going on here and now—
for that's what brings to you
the rainbow of bliss and grace.
