The Rain Poem by Dauntless Aberrants

The Rain

Its an elephant I said
No, its a dog they said
or was it mighty dragon,
that swallows away the sun?
her light stopped his,
She rumbled, & he withdrew his.
Dark & laden, waiting to be barren,
between the sun & the moon, to sadden,

Awaiting that trice, Waiting to surprise
drop by drop, they fall, full of caprice
satisfying the hunger of a thirsty soul,
Aroma spreads of a sumptuous foul
Wetting down one by one,
Sparrows & squirrels, sparing none

one last rumble in the heavenly zoo,
That single ray of his & they all flew
unveiling the invisible sights of rue
veiling the smell...
Embracing the memories of dew..
hoping...
it'll rain again?
