The Queen Of Every Sky Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

The Queen Of Every Sky

Stains of his previous pledge
Drip from the dagger
That he has offered you
Wash your hands, poor girl
Don't feel sorry for yourself
Like a forsaken hyena
In the darkling corners
Of the devouring night
Shelter in the moisture
Of your honest tears
And warm golden skin
He will hurt you
A thousand times worse
Than daily deaths alone
But bathe in my whisper;
The morning will dissolve
His pretentious shadow
You will see and soak
In the colors of you
That you never knew
Existed, crawling beneath,
To make you hover
Like the queen of every sky
