The Pull Poem by Francie Lynch

The Pull

We met on a sun-sand beach,
You asked for a pull
On my ciggarette,
So many decades have passed,
Yet,
I can't forget
You pulling on my ciggarette.

Much confusing the word pulling because we are habituated with puffing of cigarette. Another meaning we get, pulling the cigarette from smokers lip someone throwing it away or puffing him/herself. Really confusing to be convinced by poet's memory.
