The Poverty Line Poem by Theo Merma

The Poverty Line

It is a road where you haven't took yet
It is a road your foot hadn't met
It is a mirror your eyes hadn't seen
It is a place you will not call sane

If you are stepping on that line
You will not be reading this line
You will be more than blind
And darkness would be your bind

No you haven't been there yet!
Not you haven't seen it yet.
Have you tried living on a home called road?
Have you tasted dirt coated food?

So do not call it poverty line
If you are even reading this poem of mine
As your eyes hurt a bit when you read
From that glossy computer as your thought fleed

Degree of poverty is different in different countr. An American poor may not feel the same way as the poor from the poverty ridden countries, where a meal itself, is a problem. A few people are so poor to have Iphone 3 and unable to buy Iphone 4.
