The Poets Of The Light Poem by Samson Ajilore

They are messengers from a world unseen
They are literary agents from the Spirit of God
They proceeds from the mind of the Creator
And the Hand that wrote upon the ancient wall

Who shall help the mind express its deeper desires?
Who shall explore the realms of thoughts so deep?
Who shall make into lines the hidden things?
If the poets of the Light be taken from men

The poets exists in realms uncommon
They are inspired from a world unseen
To make the thoughts of men to words
And put into lines the Immortal's Words

As the prophets of old the poets all cry
Not in the streets but in black and white
They call and cry unto the sons of men
But how many today attends their voice?

If they be treated as commoners today
Or taken as though they be not at-all
Then shall they return to the realm beyond
Even to the place from whence they came

But their words shall never be removed
For they shall hover from age unto age
And their spirits shall ever linger in their lines
For the poets of the Light are deathless spirits
