The Poet And The Sun Poem by Indira Renganathan

The Poet And The Sun

He said to the sun
'There is this night
Which ever darkens our run
Behind your might
Either you cut away that
Or be it done light-donned'

'O'dear my son
My destiny' said the sun
Is that I can't turn back
I'm chasing the said night
But my brightness does make
Nowhere to be found that night'

'It's you humans' sun comtinued
'Who see it trapped in its dark
In front and at the back
And in and out all around
Pray, better you find a way
To light your way like my way'

Then the sun went lighting its way
Leaving the poet his thinking way

Truly, the sun never looks back and chases the night and it is we, who should find the way
