The Pipeline Poem by Richard Jarboe

The Pipeline

I operate the pipeline, like a concrete garden hose,
It goes East and West, North and South,
We could be under your house,
And nobody knows.

Did you ever think of the Great Pyramids from the past?
Did you ever think of the pipeline and how long it'll last?

I do promote the pipeline, no pipe dream to oppose,
It runs East and West, North and South,
We could be under your house,
And nobody knows.

Did you ever think of the Great Pyramids from the past?
Did you ever think of the pipeline and how long it'll last?

I'm part owner of the pipeline; the other owners are discreet,
Be careful drinking the water, be careful what you eat.
It runs East and West, North and South,
We could be under your house,
Who knows.
