The Pigeon Poem by Penless and Pennyless

The Pigeon

Perching on that old window,
You looks like a an angel in the darkness.
All around you is filth and rust,
Still, you comes again and again.

A beautiful black bird, you is,
Perching on that old window,
You stares at me, I stare at you,
I stare long at your beauty.

I stare long at your beauty,
Your cute fat body, your all powerful beak,
Colourful feathers on your side,
You looks like an angel in the darkness.

Wind and rain the background,
While they add to your pleasures,
You waits for nature to calm down,
I pray to god for a little more rain.

All around you is filth and rust,
You look through me and my room,
Into the piles of sorrow in my mind.
You pacifies me, dear, I know happiness.

You pacifies me, dear, you gives me happiness.
You gives me everything I need in life.
I never had a grain for you,
Still, you comes again and again.

Now that the monsoon is all over,
And I have become lonely,
I can only think of you,
And look hopelessly through that old window.

Come back, O Dearest,
My love for you is beyond seasons.
