The Perfect Blessing Poem by Olivia Ibay

On December 17,2010
A new story of my life has begun
I felt that good things might happen
So, I whispered a prayer to heaven…

God answered me with a big smile,
“My dear, just wait and you’ll see”
“You’ll receive a surprise from me”
And I wondered when that will be…

In mid January, I had a weird feeling
I couldn’t stop thinking and worrying
I lost my appetite and had stomach pain
I started to crave foods or something…

I just found out one morning
I had a little angel in my womb
Tears fell down from my eyes
I couldn’t express what I feel inside…

My husband and I made a decision,
I’ll not work and I have to stay at home
I’ll enjoy each day of becoming a mom
I’ll take an extra care until our baby is born…

We kept on praying and believing
We received the gift with perfect timing
We knew that it was worth waiting
We thanked God for the blessing.
