The Painter From Fantasy Poem by Naina Elizabeth Sebastian

The Painter From Fantasy

Rating: 5.0

She lived in fantasy.
In her own perfect world
She stepped out once into reality
There the man she loved didn't love her back.
There she realized her fantasies were too far to reach
Grey engulfed her vivid dreams
Pondered untill mind melted into a sulking puddle
Days passed by and so did her hopes
Letting reality gore in until it was etched into heart

But at heart she was an artist and a fighter
No longer could she be confined into prison of misery
The painter in her yearned to spread colour
She took the paint from fantasy and began to colour reality
Black and gold, blue and silver, white and stars
Ignoring the ridiculing society she continued painting
The world was changing, she could see it
Now her smile as bright as ever

A well texted and nicely thought out poem. A work of art. Thanks for sharing Naina and do remain enriched.
