The Other Side Of Rough (4) Poem by Elna Nel

The Other Side Of Rough (4)

Rating: 5.0

I'd like to bring you
a reason to feel again
as grass grows green
in sleepless
african nights
and hearts glow
among the ashes
of human rights

when broken chains
like scattered half moons
dots the dust
on sand and ruins
and broken bricks
where children should play
and chickens brown
soft eggs lay

we wait….
for the other side of rough
