The Only Poem by Angela R. M. Ferrer

The Only

What if there was only one life. What if there was only one chance.
What if there was only one person. One time.
What if there was only one place, one sequence.
What if, out of all the possibilities in the world, only one will prevail for you, for it will be your choice, and you have only, but one opportunity?
What would you do?
There is only one life. There is only one chance.
There is only one person. One time.
There is only one place. One sequence.
Out of all the possibilities, in the world, only one will prevail for you, for it will be your choice, and you have only, but one opportunity.
Let’s put it this way; What would you have done?

What have you done?

Surely these are questions we ask ourselves. What if and then we find no answer. It is hard but given only one chance to live, what can one really do? Who can you spend that final time or hour with? It is a puzzle that I too remain waiting to be solved. Meanwhile, this is a nice piece.
