The Ocean's Roar Poem by Jaway Woo

The Ocean's Roar

Rating: 5.0

The ocean is
a lion.

The strongest wave,
the lions thunderous roar,
and those on the shore,
are frightened away.

The receding tide,
the lions jaws,
and unable to escape,
the prey is swept inside his maw.

But then the wind dies,
and the water stills,
when the lion sleeps,
and all is quiet.
