The Night I Lost You Poem by Michaella Jones

The Night I Lost You

I heard a scream
that awoke me
From this dream

I heard a horrible
screach that made
me want to scream.

I arose from my bed
i stood straight up
i realized who
was screaming

I was crying, my face
bright and red, i was
screaming i thought
i was dead.

I was clinching my stomach
i was hanging on to my child
something horrible was going wrong

I looked down, i felt faint
the only thing i saw was
blood in a puddle at my feet

I didn't know what to do
i couldn't call for help
no one in my family new
i was pregnant to begin with

I Just keep CRYING
I just keep staring
I was losing my son

I no longer had anyone to
love everyone was
gone taken away by a grudge.

I stayed awake all night long, the day
drug on and on

I couldn't begin to answer why
I new i had lost him
I new i had killed him

I remember him hanging up the phone
I remember him saying ' I'm gone'
I was hurting and so was he

I lost my son
I lost my love
Now i am losing me
