The Most Well Liked Poem by Francis Duggan

The Most Well Liked

He always is doing his own thing
He laugh and he dance and he sing
He smokes and he jokes and drinks beer
And he is a spreader of cheer.

A man without guile or conceit
And a very nice person to meet
He doesn't swear at his children and wife
One might say a man who loves life.

He doesn't over-drink or over-smoke
And he can tell or laugh at a joke
A good character in every way
And few like him 'twould be fair to say.

He never does silently brood
And he is always in a good mood
He doesn't yearn for wealth and renown
The most well liked person of the town.
