The Mime Poem by Ibn Ali

The Mime

You have talkative eyes
And a smile that won't be silenced
Illusion's misdirection
I see why you hide behind them
You're the mime with tattered tears
The prison you reside in
Are fabled walls built on your compliance
Just stand and be defiant
Don't mask who you are
Show heart when they ask who you are
Be a giant
Your stature isn't confined in your height
Or the thickeness of your bones
You can grow
They hate your indifference
They love to see you quiet
But the truth cannot be hushed
They see your worth to me to be too much
I know it's not enough
