The Price I Pay Poem by Ibn Ali

The Price I Pay

I was meant to be alone,
With my God given senses,
And high standard of friendship,
Find no one worthy to befriend me,
my fellow man's too selfish,
So I have many colleagues,
And acquaintances aplenty,
Love for me is earned,
Not many wish to work,
So I love a chosen few,
Loyally, with truth.
