The Milk Poem by Kamal Komal

The Milk

i wont thank the rain for that day
As it veiled my tears away,
and when i strolled through crying
i hoped you will comeback
and hold me under your umbrella
But you were gone in the rain

i still remember what she said

i was trembling and shivering in her arm
and on my forehead i could feel the wet cotton
then she whispered in my ears
' that comes with the rain shall go with the rain'
in the dawn when the sky was clear
I was fresh than the morning wind.

but now i hope it wasn't true

it was raining and i was in the woods
waiting around for the rain to go
and when the night spread its wings
i was scared and all alone
but i saw a smiling face
waving me to her umbrella
and then i know i got a friend

every morning she woke me up
just to show her empty milk glass
and i will smile and offer her mine
she so shy just look at it
but i would say i never liked the milk
and then she will grab and drink it all

she was a friend for all the time
she laughed when i smiled
and she smiled when i cried
for her smile made me smile
but our smile didn't last all long

it was another rain and i was on my bed
when i woke up i found my glass all full
and then i ran to her bed
and i found her pale and blue
i want to go and lie with her
but the bed was small for me to lie
so i sat on the side and hold her hands
'don't you worry my dear friend
that comes with the rain shall go wth the rain'

in the morning when the sky was clear
she slept her final sleep
i never wanted her to go
it was the flu that i want the rain to take
but the rain so jealous took my friend

she came to my life on a rainy day
and another rain she went away
i couldn't get a chance to tell her this
'i told you a lie
i always liked the milk
but it was you that i loved more'
