The Merchild Poem by R K Summers

The Merchild

Upon a lonely shoreline
Beyond the darkened sea
A tempest rises to her voice
And once more sets her free

The Merchild sings her requiem
And harbours a turbulent sky
A moment of beauty in her life
But always wondering why

The ghost of the sea in her soul
A sapphire phoenix of tears
Aquarian warrior, bringer of sorrow
A grieving merchant of fears
