The Memory Of Light Poem by Anthony J. O.

The Memory Of Light

Rating: 5.0

Stray, dive, climb, flash,
Burst, drift, wander, burn.
Bundle, search, spot and sway
But please don’t ever leave me.

Fill, fly, chase, play,
Shimmer, dance, brake, shine.
Jump, reflect, engulf, blink
But don’t just leave memories.

Time will pass and rocks will crumble
But I need your innocence.
In a sense I laugh at trouble
Certain of your lasting presence.

Nothing does nor ever will
Fill me with such subtle pleasure.
Your soft touch, your humble thrill
Will ‘til time ends be my treasure.

This is great writing and imagery. Liked the phrase, 'Time will pass and rocks will crumble'.
