The Marigold In My Garden, An Autumn's Toast Poem by Dr Shamim Ali

The Marigold In My Garden, An Autumn's Toast

Golden and yellow, orange shades aglow,
The Marigold stands proud in my garden, so bold.
In autumn's cool breeze, it blooms so bright,
A symbol of warmth to light up the night.

With petals soft as silk, it sways with grace,
Its beauty a sight to behold and embrace.
The way it dances, with each gust of air,
A lively show for the passerby to share.

Like Robert Frost's poems, it tells a tale,
Of life and love in every petal and flail.
Of the warmth of summer, now gone and past,
But still remember, in this flower so fast.

In my garden, the Marigold shines bright,
A warm embrace on an autumn's cold night.
A reminder that life goes on anew,
And beauty and love, forever anew
