The Maiden Of Spring Meadow Poem by Sumeet Mathur

The Maiden Of Spring Meadow

Rating: 5.0

As I lie in this meadow,
Amidst the grandeur of Spring,
This truth shines bright,
That,
It isn't simply said,
That Spring is the season of Rebirth,
Of Regrowth and Resurrection,
For always exciting is its arrival,
To the fore of of our weathers,
Bringing with it the blossoming of Flora and such other elements as tender,
As can be,

As I lie in this meadow,
Amidst the grandeur of Spring,
This truth shines bright,
That,
The exuberance I get,
Immersed in color and thoughts alike,
Perched on the Wish Tree in our own meadow,
A meadow close to my Mother's heart, the heart which,
Now beats in me,
Cannot be described with such ease,

For Resurrection and rebirth make their mark,
With Cupid as their ally,
Giving birth to memories and moments aplenty,
With my own seed in life,
Me,
A maiden, lost in love,
To such a laddie as ever,
Handsome and charming,
Filling my quiet life with colours as in Spring,

As I lie in this meadow,
Amidst the grandeur of Spring,
This truth shines bright,
That,
The resurrection of elation, euphoria or whichever you please,
And rebirth of my love,
Is what I praise about this meadow, this Spring,
Ascending my life from the depths of things,
Such as despair and melancholy,

As I lie in this meadow,
Amidst the grandeur of Spring,
This truth shines bright,
That,
The grass stands tall as green as the peace in being with Him,
The flowers seem as fresh as every word He breathes to me,
The colours spark as significant as His love, for each to see,
And the skies promise as forget-me-not as every memory with Him,

As I lie in this meadow,
Amidst the grandeur of Spring,
This truth shines bright,
That,
This Angel, sent by The Creator,
Long has He stolen my sleep,
And launched me into a world far beyond ecstasy and passion,
Oh! How I long to spend each of life's ticks,
With and within this messenger of God, My best gift received,
And received with such gratitude,

As I lie in this meadow,
Amidst the grandeur of Spring,
This truth shines bright,
That,
Somewhere, someplace, sometime,
The One above has a reprieve for every single one of us,
And we shall all enter Spring,
And cherish colour, resurrection and life alike,
And spread happiness, love and hope alike.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
One of those brainwaves I got while relishing our garden. I could picturise it instantly and being a romantic, could find little difficulty in wording the vision.
