The Love I Know Is Dead Poem by Ozioma Anieto

The Love I Know Is Dead

The love I have for you died,
Weeks before you become my bride,
Those vows to keep, I tried,
But the love I have for you has died.

Three years had come and gone,
No sign from the vault; my heart,
No past romance to undone
The love which we know has died.

We thought it lasts in Love,
But ours hurts instead,
Clear signs we’ve reached the surf,
The love we have is dead.
