The Lost Son Poem by Michelle Hyde

The Lost Son

I watched you grow,
My sweet little boy,
And now I know,
That your life is not a toy.

I have seen many tears,
Fall from your eyes,
I realize my worst fears,
As I watch you die.

I place you under the world deep,
Living with you gone,
I will never sleep,
And I will never go on.
