The Lighthouse Poem by Priyanka Bhowmick

The Lighthouse

Rating: 5.0

Into the midst of the thick darkness,
where no trees, no mountains can be seen,
what can be seen is only black,
far away towards the mountain,
can be seen a sole lighthouse,
the light of which glows the entire night,
like a shining star in the depth of the darkness,
till the daybreak it shines.
Such a tiny beam of light,
and it reaches the sights of hundreds,
through the path of black,
fighting the night moonless.
Speechless it is,
but speaks it a thousand words,
like a song painful,
reaching my heart.
Oh you shining lighthouse! !
following you is not easy for me,
reaching you, impossible,
glow you not, you arouse my pains,
for you shine in my darkest nights.
