The Life Poem by Md. Moniruzzaman

The Life

The Life

How lightly I hold the cup of life?
How bravely I sip the poisonous drink of life?
O my sensitive soul,
From where you get the power,
What makes you so braver?

Every step towards the glorious heaven;
The Heaven’s mercy and the Heaven’s desire
Make the life immortal against the mortality.

Observe and remember the cloudy path,
The thorny way and the battle war,
And the unbearable hard times;
Where the soul becomes a prisoner
And tries earnestly to make himself free
From the cage, the cage of life.

Like the bird which imprisons for the sake of love,
Though the soul, you love the bird
The bird may doesn’t know.
But the merciful Heaven knows all;
The love which you deserve in your smooth, soft, and sweet heart;
Although hidden in the deepest portion of the heart
Where none have the vision to observe.

The imprisonment is for betterment,
The cruelty upon mind is for nobility,
The hard time is for the exalted fortune,
And all the hindrances in the progress of life;
For the transition from the mortality to the immortality;
And purify the soul, like the fire makes the iron.
