The Knowledge Poem by Md. Moniruzzaman

The Knowledge

When the moon appears
In the holy silent midnight
With calm quite steps
Towards the deepest portion of my heart.

I don’t know,
What happens to me?
What is the feature of mine?
Actually I can’t even understand the touch.
When the illusions go away;
I discover the touch of heaven;
The softest quite quiet appearance of the light,
The light of knowledge,
The light which takes away the darkness of ignorance
And reveals the sound thirst for holy sanctified knowledge.

I feel a great thirst for knowledge,
I have a great thirst
As if I could drink all the water of the vast Arab sea.
My thirst is increasing
By the slow movement of the time;
But not fulfill in a single portion.
The more I drink the water
The more I feel thirstier than before;
The more I touch the light of knowledge
The more it reveals the darkness of mine.

O my mighty great Lord,
When I hear the kind verses from You;
Those sweet verses make me insane
The holy moonlight makes me lunatic.
I lose the peace of mind,
A turmoil tranquil storm raise
Though the out sight is very quiet and calm.

O merciful Heaven,
I know Your Eyes observe every thing,
I know Your Heart Feels all the facts.
I also know I am the luckiest person
Who has the great fortune to have the thirst.
As You provide the thirst to me
Than make me the path plain.
Let me overcome the bondage,
Let me learn,
Let me know,
Let me see,
Let me discover,
And let me breathe in the form of knowledge,
The knowledge for which heaven light will reach to me
And then the knowledge ultimately will reach me to You.
I am alone in this vast sea,
Only You and I.

There’s none who can help me,
There’s none who can guide me the path,
But You the mighty Lord;
You deserve all the potency.
O my Lord,
For Your own mercy
Show me the path,
The path of glorious heavenly knowledge
With your own kindness, own mercy;
To touch the Knowledge
To touch the holy fact for which the whole universe has established.
