The Less Travelled Road Poem by Garret Raja

The Less Travelled Road

Amidst the tumultuous strife of life,
I struggled to choose between two ways,
To accept the absurd and find some peace,
Or to embrace freedom and face the fray.

The first option seemed so tempting,
To find comfort in life's absurdity,
To lay down my arms and embrace the madness,
To find some solace in futility.

But deep inside I knew the truth,
That such a life would never be mine,
For I could never accept the lies,
And the absurdity would make me blind.

So I chose to embrace the freedom,
To be authentic, true to myself,
To face the world with all its struggles,
And seek the satisfaction of being myself.

It was not an easy path to choose,
And often I stumbled and fell,
But I knew that this was my truth,
And that gave me strength to rebel.

So let the world say what it will,
Let the absurdity of life abound,
For I have chosen my path,
And my freedom and authenticity are found.
