The Leaf Poem by Santiago Davalos

The Leaf

Rating: 5.0

They fall with such grace
There is a certain immunity to them
They are proud beings and
Resentful for any one against them.
Their confinement make them special,
There is nothing to it, only
Green texture and beauty.
They bring joy to the world and
Make things seem...clearer.
Nevertheless there is a darker side to it,
A side that develops hatred and jealousy,
wrath of destruction and sheer power,
Yet this is the inferior part of them,
They don't understand the difference
But feel it, they would conquer the world
If it were no higher power,
They would annihilate every single living creature
But thankfully it is just fiction.
