The Kiss Poem by Taylor Ingram

The Kiss

That kiss, The pain,
The pain of knowing we will be nothing more than friends,

Your hands running through my hair as i look up into your eyes,
Lips touch, like the clouds touch the sun on a sunday afternoon,

Holding on to this just doesn't make sense,
You, me, us? Is there even an us?

No more masks, No more holding on,
Would it be such a bad thing?

It feels like the sky falls down when im with you,
i got butterflies in my belly

One look and im frozen,
Losing track of time

I cant keep my mind off of you,
Staring into the distance

All i really want is you,
Its just another day with out you,

I wonder where you are,
And if you’re thinking of me

Just tell me there is a chance,
I dont want to leave,

I dont want to say goodbye,
because, i think im inlove with you

I want you to tell me if i mean anything,
If that kiss meant anything,

Tell me these feelings are real, and i’m not just imagining them,
Tell me you want me,

I feel it and i know you do too

We dont have to exist outside this place,
You make me feel like never before,
I dont want to give this up.
