The Kid Needs Your *time* Poem by Raghav Dhawan

The Kid Needs Your *time*

Rating: 4.5

Clouds hid the sun and suddenly darkened the sky,
nobody else seemed to had noticed,
her weekend figure and the reddened eyes.
Everything she ever wished for, was right there in her bedroom,
but the pampered teenager had been living a troubled life,
even with a wardrobe filed with those mesmerism dresses and the beautiful shoes,
with the perfect body and the costliest perfumes,
the adolescent never felt so beautiful inside.
Her friends never understood the pinch of sadness,
but maybe because she herself never found words, that would fir perfectly right in.
Hers was a life, that everyone wished to live,
but the saddened beauty wished she had someone to exchange it with.

Her mother had a cellphone taped to her ears,
she was always too busy to notice her girl's tears.
Her father was a businessman and he was generally out,
She wondered if he knew how old his daughter was.
she walked up to the mirror,
and tears started to drop,
ahh..! ! the rich young lady still feels so poor right now.
With a trembling hand, she wrote a letter,
it was all that she could do, and hoped things would get better,
and really slowly she wrote..
' dear mun and dad
i swore to myself that i'll keep mum,
but the pain's getting unbearable inside,
i know it wont be long after you read this, that you realize,
I love the way you spend money on me,
but i wish, it was your love and time'.
