The Keeper To The Secrets Of The Sea Poem by Natalie Clyne

The Keeper To The Secrets Of The Sea

Rating: 4.5

Wind and rain
Light and bolt
The seas great waves
Shall make you halt

Beneath the surface
Life, life, life
The fierce swordfish
With his nose, a knife

Predators and prey
Gather alike
Sharks and Krill
And even Pike

Down in the depths
Strange spirits lurk
Moving with the speed of light
Just watch them jerk

Not so deep
The great white swims
Eating what he wants
Until the setting sun dims

Yes, I am sure you can guess
This is the ocean
With many secrets
What a miraculous potion

You did an excellent job of painting the picture while maintaing the ryhme and form of the poem. I also like how each stanza takes you deeper under water...it's like a zoom-in of the sea. ~miranda
