The Journey Poem by Lauren Walker

The Journey

Rating: 5.0

I wake and you're next to me,
Smile.
Holding and talking, we linger a while
Reluctantly leave our bed shaped cocoon
Bereft of the comfort of skin too soon

Daily our journey takes uncharted roads
But between us we carry lifes burdens & loads
Laughter surrounds us and lightens the weight
Finding such joy in this life we create

Thank you, best friend, for sharing my world
And holding my hand as our future unfurls
