The 'Ing' In Misunderstading Poem by Nima Tharchen

The 'Ing' In Misunderstading

The bribe receiving happy constable gave my heart a ticket
For he said, “Your heart was over speeding”
One-sixty was the speedo meter reading
Thus, leading to
A minor accident
Whence started the pleading
And a series of appeasing
Anger cautiously controlling
When none of these were working
Frustratingly, I ended up bribing
Alas! As you already know this tale has an unhappy ending

Only, if that greedy constable showed a little understanding
And presented me a chance of speaking
If he stopped ogling, At
My wallet protruding
And started listening
Then, she would be the one paying,
Pleasing, appeasing and bribing
For I was an angel, in slow motion moving
A feeling
Of sheer gladdening
A fool I know ever so well, left staring
Thus, happened the happening
A folly of a misunderstanding
