The Importance Of Little Things Poem by Heidi Nichols

The Importance Of Little Things

I like the way the sky looks
After the sun goes down:
Sort of blue an gray with pink
All scattered up with clouds.
I like the way the trees against it
Make such a detailed picture;
The sound of laughter,
And a little boy playing with his sister
I like the way the hay bales look
Scattered over the plains,
And the sharpness of the world
Just after it has rained.
I like the little things of life
As you can plainly see
For as you know its grains of sand
That make the shores of a sea
It's the little things of life
That can be overlooked so easily
But it's the little things
That make who I am, me
