The 'i' In The World Poem by Eduardo Santos

The 'i' In The World

Rating: 4.5

When looking at the 'I' in overall
I realize that we don't have a sea of consciousness
But an awareness of sea
In good parts, reflect only what they want to see
Without even knowing what's in the background

We're always so closed
to the dim glow of new ideas
We always want more and more
All we can see, but,
None of this is the point when you can't see the whole truth

Stuck in a constant limbo
Everything that looks different becomes equal to
Or get used to the time
We formed a great circle

In this world where mouths are weapons
The bullets are words
The moral is the only affected
ignorance is the one to blame

An insightful philosophical poem nicely brought forth in good diction with conviction. Thanks for sharing.
