The ‘hunter' Being ‘hunted' Poem by Rishini Fernando

The ‘hunter' Being ‘hunted'

Rating: 5.0

He had tough hands and a metal heart they said.
Oh so ideal for an assassin!
He was cautious and enthusiastic,
Walked through darkness like a shadow,
Was low key to preys,
He was an expert.
Stalking, fooling and killing
Seemed like he loved his daily routine.
Until he saw a disguised prey,
…………….
Until he saw a disguised prey.
A prey who was cautious and enthusiastic,
A prey who walked through darkness like a shadow,
Was low key and an expert,
A nightmare looked like a day dream,
A beautiful disaster!
The assassin fell in the trap.
Tables turned,
He was stalked, fooled and murdered,
along with reputation.
………………..
Assassin was an expert the world used to say,
Or
May be just or he suffered behind those shadows.
Who knows!
