The Human Heart I (From He Holy Bible) Poem by Dr John Celes

The Human Heart I (From He Holy Bible)

The human heart thinks evil all the time;
God's heart regretted for His making man;
Yet, He loved him most of creatures, He made;
He felt sorry from heart for His Deluge!

Man's heart longs for a wife as per his thoughts;
Pharaoh's heart hardened despite God's signs;
It does not yield to Moses' warning, threats,
And harden's more, when God gives him relief!

Man's heart hardens each time when God is kind;
Like Pharaoh, he fails to keep his promise;
He lapses back to sin when threats are gone;
Man's heart in remorse fills only when late!

God wants man's heart to stay most pure always;
The sound of a falling leaf can instill fear!
God wants man not to fulfill his heart's lusts;
Let heart fear God and keep all His commands!

Let hate and pride not grow and engulf heart;
God wants man to love Him with all his heart;
The Lord keeps testing man's heart to prove love;
Let heart not love the world, be led astray!

May heart of man worship the one true God;
Obey the Lord in everything He tells;
Rejoice by heart and render thanks to Him;
The God who changed Saul's heart, can all men's!
