The Grand Scheme Of Things Poem by Luce Darwin

The Grand Scheme Of Things

He is like the sun.
At his most radiant,
he burns my skin
and leaves freckles;
permanent daily reminders
of what he has done to me.

He is like the sun.
I see him everyday
though some days,
I spend wishing,
he wouldn't shine so bright.
