The Grand Game Poem by Martin Byrne

The Grand Game

From the beginning
I had my doubts.
My genius intentions
I wanted to shout
From the top of a mountain.
And to bring you along
Lovingly and inviting
But it’s still just a game.
Well you can plug your controller
Straight into my brain
Even with all that control
I will fail you
