A strange thing happened today
A baby was born last night,
And today all the world knelt and prayed,
For this babe will end all plight!
A strange thing happened today,
The babe grew into a man,
Walking everywhere; having His say,
Trying to make us understand!
Oh what a strange thing to happen today,
The man stood on a tree,
And as he stood; he prayed,
That all should be freed!
He also promised a gift,
A promise made to be learned,
A promise to our hearts life,
As we watch for His return!
